Al-‘Arīfiyya was a depopulated Palestinian village situated on the slopes of the Golan Heights, overlooking Lake al-Hula to the east, at an elevation of approximately 175 meters above sea level. It was one of the villages in the District of Safad, located about 20 kilometers northeast of the city.

There are no precise statistics available regarding the total land area of the village or the specific area occupied by its residential structures.

The village was captured during Operation Yiftach, like many of the neighboring villages, by units of the First Battalion of the Palmach, the strike force of the Haganah. While the exact date of the village’s occupation is unknown, Walid Khalidi suggests that the likely date was May 1, 1948.
