Al-Zahiriyya al-Fawqa was a Palestinian village located to the west of the city of Safad, at a distance of approximately 2 to 3 kilometers, and at an elevation of about 700 meters above sea level. The total land area of the village was estimated at 16,304 dunums.

According to historian Mustafa al-Dabbagh, Al-Zahiriyya al-Fawqa was a thriving village during the Ottoman period, and it is likely that its inhabitants later moved to the nearby village of Al-Zahiriyya al-Tahta.
