Avivim is a moshav located in the Upper Galilee, less than one kilometer from the Blue Line with Lebanon, situated on the lands of the Palestinian village of Solha, whose residents were displaced following a massacre carried out by Israeli occupation forces on August 18, 1948. The number of settlers in Avivim was 481 in 2012. The moshav was initially established in 1958 but was soon abandoned. It was re-established in 1963 and populated primarily by immigrants from North Africa, most of whom were from Morocco. Sources: Due to the scarcity of Arabic sources, Hebrew sources were used: the settlement’s Hebrew website / the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics.
