Ein HaNatziv is a kibbutz located in Beisan (Beit She'an) in the northern part of occupied Palestine. It is affiliated with the Religious Kibbutz Movement and lies approximately three kilometers south of the old city of Beisan, at an elevation of 130 meters below sea level. The kibbutz was established near the depopulated Palestinian village of Umm ‘Ajra, in the District of Baysan, although not directly on its lands. Ein HaNatziv was founded on January 17, 1946, at a site known in Arabic as "Al-Wuqwaka", by a group of young immigrants from the Bnei Akiva movement in Germany. In the late 1960s, while preparing the land for agricultural use, members of the kibbutz discovered the Rehob Mosaic among the ruins of an ancient synagogue. As of 2022, the kibbutz had a population of 641 settlers. Sources: Due to the scarcity of Arabic-language sources, Hebrew sources were used:

  • The Hebrew website of the settlement

  • The Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics

Information about the village of Umm ‘Ajra was obtained from the Palestine Remembered website.
