Hatsav is a moshav in central occupied Palestine. The moshav was established in 1949 by Libyan immigrants from Tripoli, including Ben-Tzion Halfon, who later became a member of the Knesset, on the lands of the depopulated Palestinian village of Al-Masmiyya al-Kabira. In 2014, the settlement’s population was 1,390 settlers, increasing to 1,525 in 2022. Sources: Due to the scarcity of Arabic sources, Hebrew sources were used: the settlement’s Hebrew website / the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics. And the village of Al-Masmiyya al-Kabira from the Palestine Remembered website.
