Mazor Settlement
Updated: Sep 7

Mazor is a moshav located in the central occupied Palestinian territories, about three kilometers southeast of Petah Tikva, covering an area of about 2,300 dunams. The moshav was established in 1949 by Zionist immigrants from Czechoslovakia and Hungary alongside Israeli settlers, on the lands of the depopulated Palestinian village of al-Muzayri'a in the Ramla district.
In its early days, the settlement was called "Mazra Har," a name derived from a neighboring depopulated Arab village known as Umm Zar', more commonly known as al-Muzayri'a. The name was later changed to "Mazor," meaning "healing" in Hebrew, in honor of an herbal medicine factory established at the site by the herbalist Mordechai Klein.
Mazor's population in 2022 was about 1,330 people.
