Nehora is a community settlement in the southern occupied Palestinian territories, located on the coastal plain about 5 km west of Kiryat Gat and east of Route 352. Nehora was established in 1955 as part of the Hevel Lachish settlement program and was intended to function as a service center for the surrounding settlements. The settlement includes a shopping center, a regional school, and offices of the Lachish Regional Council. It was built on the lands of the depopulated Palestinian villages of Kertia and Falluja. In 2022, the settler population was approximately 1,156. Sources: Due to the scarcity of Arabic sources, Hebrew sources were used, including:

  • The official Hebrew website of the settlement

  • The Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics

  • The villages of Falluja and Kertia from the Palestine Remembered website
