Netiv HaLamed-Heh Colony
Updated: Aug 4

Netiv HaLamed-Heh is a kibbutz established on August 16, 1949 by demobilized soldiers on land that once belonged to the depopulated Palestinian village of Bayt Nattif.
As of 2022, the settlement had a population of 701 settlers.
The founding soldiers were members of the Fourth Company of the Harel Brigade of the Palmach. The settlement was originally named “Peled”—an acronym derived from the Hebrew for "Pluga Daled" (Company D). It was later renamed Netiv HaLamed-Heh in memory of 35 Haganah soldiers who were killed in a convoy sent to resupply Kibbutz Gush Etzion during the 1947–1948 civil war in Mandatory Palestine.
In 2007, the Vertigo Dance Company established the Vertigo Eco-Art Village within the kibbutz, serving as an educational center for environmental and artistic activities.
