Sde David is a moshav located in the southern part of the occupied Palestinian territories. The moshav was established in 1955 by Zionist immigrants from the Moroccan youth movement HaNoar HaTzioni, as part of broader efforts to settle the region. It was named after Zalman David Levontin, a Russian banker and pioneer of Zionist settlement in historic Palestine. The settlement of Sde David was established in 1955 on land belonging to the depopulated Palestinian village of Brir. As of 2021, the population of the settlement was 632 settlers. Sources: Due to the scarcity of Arabic sources, Hebrew sources were used: the settlement's Hebrew website / Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics. And the village of Brir from the  website.
