Tirosh Colony

Tirosh is a moshav located between the Israeli settlements of Beit Shemesh and Kiryat Malakhi. It was established in 1955 by Zionist immigrants and refugees from North Africa on land that formerly belonged to the depopulated Palestinian village of ‘Ajjur, in the Hebron District. The name "Tirosh" is derived from the Hebrew word for “grape must,” reflecting the presence of many vineyards in the area.

Outside the moshav, there is a reported site believed to be a nuclear weapons storage facility.

As of 2021, the population of the settlement was 454 settlers.
