Ya’ad is a small moshav in the north of the occupied Palestinian territories, located near the Karmiel settlement. It was established in 1974 by computer science graduates from the Technion Institute, on land that once belonged to the depopulated Arab village of Mi’ar, located in the Acre district until 1947.

According to Walid Khalidi, the Ya’ad settlement was established in 1975 on the  lands of the village of Mi’ar, whose inhabitants were displaced in 1948. The settlement of Ya’ad was built to the northeast of the village site. As of 2022, the number of settlers in Ya’ad was 776.
