Yad Natan is a settlement located in the southern occupied Palestinian territories near the settlement of Kiryat Gat. The moshav Yad Natan was established in 1953 by Zionist immigrants from the Hungarian youth movement HaNoar HaTzioni who survived the Holocaust. It was named after Otto Komoly Nathan Cohen, one of the leaders of the Zionist movement in Hungary.
In 1973, 24 families from South America joined the moshav. Most of the settlers rely on agriculture for their livelihood. The primary economic activities include rose cultivation for export, orchards, vegetable farming, and poultry breeding.
The moshav was built approximately 800 meters (2,600 feet) south and 1 km (0.62 miles) northeast, respectively, of the sites of the Palestinian villages of Beit ‘Affa and ‘Iraq Suwaydan, whose residents were displaced in 1948. Yad Natan is located on the lands of ‘Iraq Suwaydan. In 2022, the number of settlers there was approximately 631.
