Yesodot is a colony established in 1948 during the war, at a surveillance point along the Burma Road, on land that belonged to the depopulated Palestinian village of Umm Kalkha in the Ramla District. The colony was founded by Zionist immigrants from Hungary and Poland. As of 2021, the number of settlers residing there was 1,016.
