Azor is a local council located in the Tel Aviv area of central occupied Palestine, along the old Jaffa–Jerusalem road, southeast of the city of Tel Aviv. It was established in 1948 on the ruins of the depopulated Palestinian village of Yazur. It was granted local council status in 1951. Its total area is 2,415 dunams (approximately 2.415 square kilometers).

In the sixteenth century, the Ottoman Sultan endowed the lands of Yazur as waqf for his imperial kitchen in Jerusalem. During the 18th and 19th centuries, the area belonged to the Lydda subdistrict, which included lands extending from present-day Modi'in–Maccabim–Re'ut in the south to El'ad in the north, and from the eastern foothills across the Lydda plain to the outskirts of Jaffa in the west.

According to 2022 statistics, the population of Azor was 13,593 settlers.
