Elishama is a colony (moshav) located in the central region of occupied Palestine, near Hod HaSharon and Kfar Saba. The moshav was established in 1950 by Zionist refugees from Tripoli (in present-day Libya), on land that had belonged to the depopulated Palestinian Arab village of Bi'ar 'Adas. As of 2022, the settler population in Elishama was approximately 1,168. Sources: Due to the limited availability of Arabic-language sources, the following “Hebrew” sources were used:

  • The colony’s official Hebrew website

  • The “Israeli” Central Bureau of Statistics

  • Information on the village of Bi'ar 'Adas from the website
