Ganot is an agricultural moshav located in central occupied Palestine. During the 18th and 19th centuries, the Ganot area belonged to the Lydda subdistrict, which extended from present-day Modi'in–Maccabim–Re'ut in the south to El'ad in the north, and from the eastern foothills across the Lydda plain to the outskirts of Jaffa in the west.

The settlement was established in 1953 on the lands of the depopulated Palestinian village of Beit Dajan in the Jaffa district, by discharged Zionist soldiers, but was later abandoned. It was then re-established in 1955 by the "Rassco" company (Rural and Suburban Settlement Company), receiving residents from various parts of the country. The Ganot Junction is located at the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 4, alongside the moshav. Its population in 2022 was about 591 people.

  • The settlement's official website (Hebrew)

  • Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics

  • Information on the village of Beit Dajan from the Palestine Remembered website.
