Kfar Azar Settlement
Updated: Sep 7

Kfar Azar is a settlement located in the central occupied Palestinian territories. It was previously part of the Ayalon Regional Council, and in 2007 it was annexed to the Ramat Gan municipality, alongside Ramat Ef'al. It covers an area of about 1,000 dunams (4.0 km²), with an estimated population of about 500 people.
The moshav was established in December 1932 by two pioneering groups, "Brenner" and "Ma'as," on lands adjacent to the Arab village of al-Khayriyya. Later, the Jewish National Fund acquired additional land to expand the settlement. It was named "Azar," an abbreviation of the name of Alexander Zeskind Rabinovich, the Russian Zionist writer. By the end of 1951, the population was about 375 people.
