Ramat HaSharon is a Zionist settlement located south of Herzliya, established in 1923 as an agricultural settlement on the lands of the Arab village of Ijlil, whose residents were displaced in 1948. It lies within the densely populated Gush Dan area.

Its population in 2009 was about 40,000 people, spread over an area of 16.7 square kilometers, rising by 2018 to about 46,700 people.

Sources:Due to the scarcity of Arabic sources, the following Hebrew sources were relied upon:

  • The settlement's official website

  • Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics

  • Information on the village of Ijlil from the website.
