Renatya Settlement
Updated: Sep 7

Renatya is a settlement located in central occupied Palestine, between Petah Tikva and Yehud. During the Ottoman period, the Renatya area was the site of the Arab village of Rantiya, and belonged to the Lydda district, which included an area extending from present-day Modi'in–Maccabim–Re'ut in the south to El'ad in the north, and from the eastern foothills across the Lydda plain to the outskirts of Jaffa in the west.
The moshav was established in 1949 on the lands of the depopulated Palestinian Arab village of Rantiya, by immigrants and refugees from Morocco. Its population in 2022 was about 1,197 people.
