Tzafriya is a religious settlement located in central occupied Palestine, near Ben Gurion International Airport. During the Ottoman period, the Tzafriya area belonged to the Lydda subdistrict, which extended from present-day Modi'in–Maccabim–Re'ut in the south to El'ad in the north, and from the eastern foothills across the Lydda plain to the outskirts of Jaffa in the west.

The settlement was established in 1949 by immigrants from Czechoslovakia and Hungary, on the lands of the depopulated Palestinian village of al-Safiriyya, from which its name is derived. It was initially known as "al-Safiriyya Aleph," then as "Kfar Safaria," before adopting its current name. The settlement's population in 2022 was about 1,013 settlers.
